Knowhere is designed to work primarily offline and stores your learning data locally on your device.
The app may store:
- Learning progress
- Quiz history
- Mastery statistics
- Spaced repetition (FSRS) review data
- Custom learning paths
- App preferences (language, theme, settings)
- Personal notes and memory palace notes (if you choose to create them)
This information is stored only on your device.
Information We Do Not Collect
Knowhere does not collect or transmit:
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Location
- Contacts
- Photos
- Camera data
- Microphone recordings
- Payment information
- Advertising identifiers
- Health information
- Any personal identifiers
Knowhere does not require an account.
Analytics
Knowhere does not use analytics services. We do not track how you use the app.
Advertising
Knowhere does not display third-party advertisements.
Data Sharing
Your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
Cloud Storage
Knowhere does not automatically upload your learning data to any server. If you choose to export your progress, the exported file is created locally on your device. You decide whether to store, share, or back up that file.
Internet Connection
Most features work entirely offline.
An internet connection may only be required for:
- downloading app updates
- installing the app
- optional future online features (if introduced)
Children's Privacy
Knowhere does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data Security
Because your learning data is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for keeping your device secure. Deleting the app may permanently remove your locally stored progress unless you have created a backup.
Your Rights
Since Knowhere does not maintain user accounts or servers containing your data, you remain in control of your information.
You can at any time:
- delete your progress
- export your progress
- import a backup
- uninstall the app
